The Oklahoma City Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic strives to provide the most up to date, cost effective, and safe services to our patients. That is why we have installed a Xoran MiniCAT Scan machine in our Midtown office at St. Anthony Hospital.
CT scans are integral to proper diagnosis and treatment. Our in-office scanner offers distinct advantages over sending you, the patient, to a radiology center for the scan.
The advantages include:
- Immediate, on-site diagnosis and treatment planning
- Lower radiation dose than conventional CT
- Fast Scan times (less than 20 seconds)
- You are comfortably seated during the scan
- The open, patient-friendly design minimizes claustrophobia
By sitting in a chair for only 20 seconds, your doctor can do a scan and show you a picture of your sinuses on a computer while explaining your condition. The next steps in your treatment plan can be agreed upon right away. And the faster you begin your treatment, the faster you can get relief from your symptoms.
Oklahoma City ENT Clinic providers are accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Computed Tomography Laboratories.
In addition to our CT services that we perform in office at the Oklahoma City ENT Clinic, we also have the ability to provide ultrasound services to our patients. Diagnostic ultrasounds of neck masses, particularly thyroid masses, can be performed to diagnose thyroid nodules, parotid lesions, and other neck tumors and growths.
Additionally, we can proceed with biopsy of concerning lesions using ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirate (FNA) techniques. This improves accuracy of diagnosis and facilitates more rapid treatment of the lesion in question.
With our in-office ultrasound imaging, our patients enjoy the convenience of immediate imaging, a faster diagnosis, and the ability to begin their treatment more quickly.
